The property is located at 1618 St. Charles Ave. in the heart of the Lower Garden District of New Orleans. The exterior of the building has been restored to its original grandeur; a Greek Revival style built near the turn-of-the-century. Typical of the style, the front elevation graces the Avenue with a double gallery, which is exposed to the street-car line and a beautiful maturing oak tree. Currently the building is owner occupied on the 2nd floor with an architectural firm. The first (ground floor) is unoccupied. The ceilings are over 13' tall. Most of the original details were salvaged in the renovation in 1999. The property is on the national register. The backyard has integrated a deck with wrap-around french doors looking out onto palm trees that line the walk to the outbuilding.
