Shapiro, Michaele -

Michaele Shapiro is a Local 600 2nd Assistant Camera on the Film Roster, and has worked as a 2nd AC and as a Loader since 1999. She has worked in film, digital, and PACE 3-D. Her safety passport is current, and she can speak Italian, Russian and French. She can work as a local hire in New Orleans and in Los Angeles. She began her camera training as an apprentice at Technovision Cinecameras, srl in Rome, Italy in 1999, and continued her training by completing the Panavision Hollywood Two Year Program (2000-2002) where she worked as a Prep Tech on the floor. I attended LTC Jumonville's Film school. I was trained in almost all fields of film production there. My major was in 35 millimeter camera where I learned to load the film, assemble and disassemble the camera. I also pulled the focus in the short film that we made in school. The film was called The Glass Chord. My job title was First A.C. for the film. Keth Smith was our Director of Photography and was the one that trained me on 35 millimeter. He said that I was a natural at pulling focus and being a camera man in general. I am a good people person and can get along with anybody. I am an extremely hard worker. If given the chance I am willing to start from the bottom and work my way up. I am also willing to relocate if needed. Thank you for your time.
